Be a Fighter (like Mayweather)

,
It's been a lovely Saturday and I hope that holds true for you too. As the day is drawing to a close, everyone in my neck of the woods is tuned in to tonight's boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Robert Guerrero. Not sure when boxing games became Hollywood events, but there's definitely a celebrity turnout in Vegas tonight.

Everyone there wants a front row seat to see another man be knocked down, all in the name of entertainment.

When it comes to our own lives, we have the front row seat to see whatever it is we don't want, be knocked down and out! I'm not a fan of boxing however I think there's a thing or two that we can learn from it:

  • Get knocked down - Get back up! All that matters is that you get up more times than you fall. "Failure is not in falling down but in refusing to get up." (Chinese Proverb)
  • Life throws you a punch - Learn how to duck. Don't stand for whatever crap comes your way. There's a lot of heartache and headache that be avoided, simply by avoidance. Learn how to walk away.
  • Learn how to fight! - Although our fight isn't against flesh and blood (humans), but spiritual, we need to be trained and strong enough to stand. Build your faith, increase your confidence so no one thinks they can push you around as they please.
Yes, life is a journey. However keep in mind that you do have partial say in how that journey transpires. I say partial because clearly there are life events outside of our control. The part you can control though, make sure you do. It's your life so you have to take the responsibility and fight for it. Don't be passive aggressive, but rather be assertive and proactive to get the life you want and deserve :)  Be blessed ladies!

Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
