Patience, Process, Progress - How & Why

,
Good evening guys! Hoping you all had a lovely and productive day. There are days I find that I have a very well and neatly written to-do list, but getting those items ticked off is another matter all together, lol. I'm not against to-do lists. In fact there's a quote I read recently which I believe holds true, "The shortest pencil beats the longest memory". I'm sure a lot of you can relate, especially parents. How many times haven't I had the intention to do something in the kitchen, only to have one of my kids distract me on my way there, and me totally forgetting why I was headed to the kitchen in the first place, lol.

My point? In order to be productive, find a way to keep yourself accountable. Be it a list, a friend, something or someone so that you can track your progress. Not seeing any progress is a huge contributor to why people give up. Whether it be loosing weight, growing your hair (that one's personal, lol), growing a business, you name it. It's like, what's the point? However just because you're not seeing the progress doesn't mean it's not there. It's true that some progress is slower than others, however the bible says "Don't despise the day of small beginnings" (Zech 4:10). How long your "beginning" is, is furthermore not always in your control.

Many times I've seen an artist appear out of nowhere and have, what appears to be, overnight success. Only to realize this person's been grinding it out outside of the spotlight for years. There are those though who literally do have overnight success, and for some strange reason we want to compare ourselves to the latter. Patience I tell ya, lol. That's why it's wiser to find and craft your passion. Cause then even though it takes years, you've enjoyed the process of honing your craft :)

Hope this encouraged someone. I know I need to hear this myself those days when I feel like giving up. I know God's will and timing prevails, so until God opens the door, I'll praise Him in the hallway ;)

Love & Bless Y'all!

Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
