Is Life the Way You Pictured?

Hey awesome and lovely readers. A late night post today. Hope everyone's day was fantastic. Had a pretty good one myself. Uneventful with the exception of some interesting news. Ever paused and looked at your life and it's completely different from what you envisioned when you where younger? Not saying it's for the worse or the better, simply different. 

I have a friend who I went to primary school with. We don't really talk nowadays, other than the occasional what's up on Facebook. Either way, from the outside looking in, her life appears to have played out exactly as she planned it. She wanted to be a doctor since grade 1, and guess what? She's a doctor. Married her high-school sweetheart right after college, had a son, expecting a daughter, the nuclear family and life in a nutshell.

This isn't the case for many of us as life has had it's surprises and presented the occasional hurdle, curve and/or ditch. Regardless of the challenge, you're still here :) It' s important to realize and acknowledge that at the end of the day, God has the final say. As much as we may plot and plan, His ways are not our ways. Just because life isn't the way we pictured it doesn't imply it's not the way it's meant to be. 

Embrace your life for what it is and allow God to use you, your circumstance, your life. Let your life be a living testimony of what God can do when we surrender to His will. Even in times when life may have made the decision for you (and perhaps against your will at the time), trusting that God's in it makes all the difference. Embrace your life as God embraces you :)
