Change Your Perspective, Change Your Life

,
Hope everyone is doing great this lovely Tuesday. The day is pretty much over, but I pray that it was wonderful all the same.

I found myself forcing myself to be positive regarding certain areas of my life. Why is whining and complaining so easy? And it's even worse when you have a conversation with others and you want to keep it real but at the same time not speak any negativity over your life or situation.

Being positive doesn't mean we have to lie about how things are or how we feel, but we simply choose to confess that everything is going to be just fine. A different perspective is all it really is. Just like anything else, there's 2 sides to everything. The glass is either half full or half empty, neither is a lie, it's all in your perspective.

So how do we change our perspective to a more positive one? Force yourself. If need be, fake it 'til you make it. Say it as many times needed until you actually believe it, and funny thing is, you will believe it after saying it enough. Remembering those less fortunate is also a sober reminder of how blessed we indeed are. No matter how bad you've got it, someone's got it worse.

Your change of perspective will allow you to be in a place of gratitude and that's the frame of mind you need to be to receive more things to be grateful for. As you pray, believe that you have already received that which you are praying for (Mark 11:24 paraphrased). Thank Him in advance, be grateful. Misery and complaining sends out negative vibes that you are not grateful for what you have, and if we're not careful, what we do have can easily be taken away too.

I'm not claiming that any of this is by any means easy. As I stated earlier, complaining is so easy and many times I catch myself in the act, not meaning to sound ungrateful, but simply being fed up, tired, and at the end of my rope.  But as Thomas Jefferson said it best "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on".

Today's Take Away Thought: When things are bad focus on the good things in your life. Thank God for your blessings, and believe (speak) that all other areas in your life will follow suit. Change your perspective, change your life.

Bless & Love Y'all!

Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
