Speak Up! Speak Love!

,
Hey Ladies! So yesterday I touched on the importance of changing your thoughts, well today we're taking it a step further and changing our speech.

As much as thoughts become reality, the words we speak hold life and death. I'm sure you've heard of people cursing and also blessing other people. As much as these can be considered and taken lightly, there is a profound impact that these words, any words, can and do have.

Proverbs 18:20-21 says "Make your words good - you will be glad you did. Words can bring death or life! Talk too much, and you will eat everything you say." (Contemporary Eng. Version)

The saying "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" is easy to implement when it concerns other people. Most of us have been brought up and taught to be polite and practise this saying.  However for some reason when it comes to speaking over our own lives we don't put this into practise.

How you view and speak about yourself is far more important than what others think and say about you. Inner satisfaction comes from true and good speech, and so you need to speak life, health, prosperity, and joy over yourself.

Whatever challenge you're faced with, whatever it is you want to achieve in life, you have to tell yourself that you can and will succeed. Yes, it won't happen over night (or maybe it will, who knows) but you can't doubt yourself or your purpose and destiny just because things become hard. So what, you hit a stumbling block. Fun? Of course not, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Make it a habit to speak positively about yourself everyday. It could be a morning ritual or something you do before you go to bed. Just have a short (or long) list of things that you want to see fulfilled in your life.  Speak it in a present tense though to acknowledge that this is factual and true today.

It could be absolutely anything. A few of mine are (in no particular order):

  • I'm happy and fortunate to be surrounded by people who love me
  • I live in my dream house
  • I lack nothing! There is a supply for every demand, and I'm blessed to be a blessing to others.
It's your life, speak over it as you see fit. Just know you have the potential to be great and prosper :)

Bless & Love Y'all!

Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
