Encourage Yourself in the Lord

Happy Monday!! A rather late Monday too, lol. It's past midnight and I just woke up after falling asleep during the Steelers football game. Unfortunately we lost but my body wasn't trying to stay up to see the defeat. Either which way, the weekend was pretty chill, nothing too exciting, but good all the same.

I hope everyone's week came off to a great start. Meet the new week with positive expectations in spite of any bad news. I know my DC readers weren't greeted with the best news as this morning a tragic shooting took 13 lives. Never know why these tragic events occur, but what I do know is that our prayers are needed now more than ever.

When faced with life and death, everything else fades in comparison. Every argument, every want, all the other things that we feel meant the world, no longer seem as important. All that matters is that our loved ones are safe and sound, the rest will sort itself out somehow.

Don't lose faith and don't give up on what God has in store for you. Continue to speak life over your situation, don't waver in your faith. I know it's not always easy, but by grace it's possible. Remain steadfast and see the glory of the Lord come through.

Today's Take Away Thought: Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart (Ps 27:14 KJV). Speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord.
