The bible does call it a good fight which would imply that there are fights that are good and fights that are bad. As the saying goes, chose your battles wisely.
Fighting the good fight of faith has to do with grabbing a hold of your life, and claiming back all that the enemy stole from you. You have to want your life (the one God promised you, the one you see yourself living when you close your eyes before you fall asleep), and then put that want into action.
The bible says that the kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Don't leave it to chance, don't shrug your shoulders and say "que sera sera, whatever will be will be". No, take it back.
Now I'm not saying to beat up the girl who got the job you've been praying for, because we "fight not against flesh and blood but against strongholds and principalities." Over coming strongholds and principalities will require you to spend some real time in prayer. And then just see how God releases you into your destiny.
