Every year has a theme and this year's theme was "Punk: Chaos to Couture." Apparently not everyone embraced the theme, and understandably so. I can't think of how I would successfully combine a red carpet gown with a punk flair, lol.
The whole red carpet deal, and the fact that the red carpet is an event in and of itself, speaks of the importance in what people wear. Why the big emphasis? I mean I love a pair of shoes and a dress as much as any girl, however the scrutiny in which people, celebrities in particular, are succumbed to based solely on what they're wearing is slightly overboard I think.
I read a quote that says "Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess" and it holds true. If you have a nasty, ugly character, you can dress in whatever you like, the real you will show herself eventually. And there's no amount of money that can fix that. It's from within, not without where your "style" resides. For you ladies with great character and style, embellish your beauty with beautiful garments. After all it's not the clothes that make the man, but the man that makes the clothes.
My point is this, if people spent have as much time (and perhaps money) to make sure their heart and soul is as pretty, polished and put together as their outfits. Maybe, just maybe, this world would be a little better, your neighbor a little kinder, your smile a little brighter, and you a little happier :)
Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
