Today is World Autism Awareness Day. To be honest I'm not all that well versed in the details of the disorder, however I do understand that life comes with a heap of more challenges for those affected by it. This disorder is more common than we think and is apparently more common among boys than girls. Being a mother of 3 sons, I just have to thank God for healthy children.
I'm sure that parents of autistic children thank God too, for things could always be worse, and with today's medical advances and increased awareness, things I believe are looking up.
Because I'm not an expert on the subject I'm not here to educate you, however I do want to help spread awareness of its existence and ask that you lift up those affected in prayer.
There is much in life that we complain about, and not to say that our personal struggles aren't challenging, however once in a while it helps to take the focus off ourselves and just be empathetic for others' situations.
Whether you feel moved to donate, to help out someone you know affected, or simply want to educate yourself more on the subject, I hope that this post has at least a small impact on you.
Remember to be thankful for what you have and what you don't have.
Stay Pretty & Precious,
Peace
